July 3, 2003

Patiently waiting seems to be the theme for this newsletter. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. How do you build a wall? One brick at a time. How has God chosen to raise our financial support? One heart at a time. The Roses are continually working toward raising our monthly financial support. At times it seems as if the support is coming in slowly. On our most recent statement we had two churches and one individual put us on for support, committing with us to help us reach the lost people of Spain. While praying and contemplating what we could do to speed up the process, my mind went back to a time when we had a small leak in the gym at our church. It was dripping ever so slowly, however, by the end of the week, the bucket was full and running over. This memory brought a smile to my face and praise to our God, for He is faithful to move in the hearts of churches and individuals. We have continually seen His faithfulness as we receive each monthly statement. Our bucket is halfway filled, and even though it seems like the process is moving too slowly, before we know it, God will have met the need, fulfilling the financial bucket for us to leave for the country of Spain.

Our baby to come is also a reminder that the Lord brings things to pass in the time He has chosen. Dena is feeling very pregnant but is patiently awaiting the birth of our new child. In all things we are reminded that His will and His timing are perfect. “ ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ saith the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’ ” Isaiah 55:8-9

Please pray for the following:
*safe delivery for Mom and baby
*booking of our last appointments in the churches God desires for us to be in
*safety on the roads
*patience for the children while on the “deputation trail”
*two family members with cancer- Bill’s Dad, Mike Rose (leukemia) & Dena’s uncle,
Jimmy Shirley (advanced pancreatic cancer)
Praise: Joshua’s ears are better. Please pray that he will stay healthy.

Extra! Extra! E-mail all about it! We will update our website quickly to give you information and pictures of our new baby and will also continue to give you an update of our deputation progress. Check it out at www.rosestospain.org

Striving together,
