A Miracle of God! We want to thank all those who have been praying for
our youngest son, Josiah, who had been diagnosed with a cyst in his stomach. His
pediatrician scheduled a consultation with a surgeon in Michigan, in order for
us to set a date to have the cyst removed. When we met with the surgeon, he
began by discussing what the cyst could be and what would need to be done. He
then sent us down to the ultrasound room to see if they could get a better idea
of what was there. The first technician looked at the screen and called on the
second technician to look at it. Dena and I were a little concerned at this
point when they called the head doctor in for a look. After extensive searching,
he turned to us and said, “I can’t find anything. The cyst is gone.” Praise
God!!! The doctor had other explanations for the disappearing cyst, but we know
it was the prayers of people and the healing power of God Almighty!
Dad’s cancer: My father, pastor of our home church, had testing done to
see if his cancer had mutated to a more aggressive form of cancer. The doctor
ordered the biopsy because of the rapid growth of his lymph nodes. The biopsy
and MRI revealed that his cancer had not changed and they now believe they have
identified the specific chemotherapy that will best fight the type of cancer
that he has. We praise the Lord for the good report and ask that you would
continue to pray for my father, Pastor Mike Rose.
High points in ministry. . .Bill had a chance to lead one college student
to Christ and to extensively witness to two Muslims in the last two months.
Another exciting opportunity arose when God allowed us to cross paths with a
young person who had been saved under our ministry in Michigan but now lives in
Arkansas. He had moved right after he accepted Christ and had not yet found a
church in the area. We were happy that God allowed us to invite him to a local
church and see him follow the Lord in baptism there on Super Bowl Sunday. What a
blessing!
Support and paperwork: The Lord has graciously brought our support level
to 82% of our needed $5500. Please pray that the remainder of our support will
come in. We have received the children’s passports and are now waiting for our
documents to be translated and stamped by a Spanish government official. Then
our next step will be visiting the Consulate of Spain in Chicago to hand in some
required documents and paperwork. Anytime you are dealing with a foreign
government, paperwork can be slow. We are also a little concerned about the
effect of the change in The Spanish leadership. Please pray with us that God
would allow the timing of our paperwork to coincide with our tentative September
departure date. We have been seeking God’s will and believe that we should be
ready to leave by that time.
Striving together,
Bill & Dena Rose with Brianna, Kelsey, Jordan, Joshua, and Josiah
