The
Rose Family Missionaries to Spain
|
May 9, 2003
You might be a “veteran” deputation missionary if . . .
1. even the kids are sick of McDonalds.
2. you need an oil change every month.
3. you have new friends and prayer partners in 5 different states.
4. your parents check your website to see where you are.
5. “home” is where the van is parked!
Yes, the Roses are still on the road. We have covered many miles in the last two
months and been a part of services in 22 churches. Please pray that many of
these churches will be able to put us on for support in the near future. We
praise God for the five churches and one individual that have begun to support
us in the last two months. We want to say “thank you” to them. We also are so
appreciative for the faithfulness of the churches that have been supporting us
since our deputation began. Although we have had many other promises of support
from churches, our current support level remains about 38%.
Bill had an opportunity to meet with Bro Dave McDonald, veteran missionary to
Spain, in March to go over some of the details of our move to Spain. That was a
blessing as he was able to answer some of the questions we have had, and give us
some guidance for our future plans. We do plan to begin packing up household
goods while we are in Michigan this summer. Other praises from the last two
months include our vehicle continuing to run well, and God providing things such
as office supplies, dental care, auto & trailer maintenance, and photography of
the children through His people. We can’t say thank you enough to those who had
part in those provisions for us. The best highlight is the 9 salvations that we
have had a part in during the last two months. Once again, as we prepare and
plan for tomorrow, God is using us today. What joy that knowledge brings us! For
those of you who support us with your prayers and finances, those souls will be
credited to your account because of your faithfulness during our deputation
ministry. As the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:17, “Not because I desire a
gift; but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”
As we enter into the summer months, please pray that Bill will be able to finish
filling our calendar for the end of 2003 and the first part of 2004. Please pray
also for the timing and safe delivery of our new little one due in July, and for
us to find a resolution to Joshua’s recurring ear infections. Thank you so much
for your prayers for us and for your part in our ministry. We can’t express how
much you mean to us.
Striving together,
Bill & Dena Rose with Brianna, Kelsey, Jordan, and Joshua
