The
Rose Family Missionaries to Spain
|
February 23, 2003
It has been good to see God’s people so excited about world evangelism. The
churches we have been in have each been unique in their methods and the
particular needs God has burdened them for, but at each church we have been
engulfed in the love of God and overwhelmed by the goodness and generosity of
His people. Although we understand we have just begun our many travels,
four-year old Jordan expressed his feelings about having traveled cross-country
to so many churches as he looked out the van window and exclaimed, “Daddy, I saw
a church we forgot to go to!” In his mind, we’ve been to all the rest!
Our blessings as we travel have not come without adversity. Our youngest son,
Joshua seems to be extra susceptible to viruses and sickness around him. It has
been a struggle to keep him and the rest of the children healthy. In Houston, 4
of the 6 of us were up all night with a stomach virus. The good news is that
Satan has not been able to keep us from our appointed churches. We thank God for
the churches we have been in these past 2 months. Each church has welcomed us
and we have seen the Spirit of God move in each service. We have been a part of
2 salvations, 2 full time dedications, and many rededications so far this year.
It is a joy to be used today as we set our sights for tomorrow to reach the
people of Spain.
As you have heard, God has richly blessed our family in many ways. We have
recently discovered that we are expecting another little “Rosebud” in July. This
was unexpected by us, but we know that God’s plan is perfect and we choose to
trust Him. The verse that has come to our minds is “children are a heritage from
the Lord,” from Psalm 127:3.
Continue to pray for us for setting future appointments and for our health and
safety as we are on the road. Please pray that each church would be sensitive to
God’s will in the matters of prayer and financial support for us. We now have a
web site at www.rosestospain.org, another easy way to keep in touch with us. We
are so blessed to have family, friends, and churches praying and joining with us
to reach the people of Spain.
Striving together,
