Missionaries to Spain Greetings to our faithful
friends and supporters! The holiday
season is in full swing around the Rose residence. We have been extra busy this year because of church Christmas
activities, scheduled appointments, and planning for our departure for full-time
deputation work on January 6, 2003.
The churches that we have been in this fall have been wonderful to us.
We appreciate their support and encouragement.
Our financial support level continues to rise and we have some promises
for support beginning in January. We
are encouraged by how well things are going.
We praise God for the decisions that we have seen people make when we
have shared our ministry. Another
encouragement for us this fall is in the form of a young man from our previous
youth ministry who has made a decision for full-time ministry.
God is still in the business of changing hearts and lives! It has been difficult to be
“in transition” from youth ministry to missions work. There have been times that it has been overwhelming.
However, we know that God will use this process to prepare us for what
lies ahead. Another difficulty this
fall has been sickness. Our younger
three children picked up a respiratory virus back in October.
That involved many new medications, a nebulizer for breathing treatments,
and some flexibility with our plans. Dena
was sad to miss a couple of meetings because of the illness.
The children are doing much better now and we appreciate all who prayed
for us during that time. We will be “hitting the
deputation trail” full time in January, with appointments in Georgia, Florida,
Texas, and Louisiana those first two months.
We have a whirlwind schedule with many conferences, and every Wednesday
and Sunday booked except for one. Please
pray that Bill can finish filling our schedule for the 2003 year, and for our
safety and health as we are on the road.
Thank you for your many thoughts and prayers for us.
Our family would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New
Year. Striving together, Bill & Dena Rose with
