Josiah Stephen Rose arrived on July 15, 2003. Many tests were done to see if there was a problem with his internal organs because of having a two-vessel umbilical cord, but all were normal. We thank God for a safe delivery and healthy baby. For pictures, see our website.

God’s protection and guidance are obvious to us. The beginning of our fall quarter of deputation started out with a 2 day trip that became a 3 day trip as we traveled from Michigan to Louisiana. Frequent stops to feed the baby, a lost shoe, and above all a minor auto accident on Interstate 65 have given us a memorable trip. It is amazing how God had his hand on us through it all. Thank you for your prayers.

Even today obstacles lay before us. One of the greatest of them is sickness with our children. Joshua and Josiah, the youngest ones seem to be the ones who struggle the most. This has kept our family as a whole from going to some scheduled appointments, but we haven’t had to cancel any. We praise God that He has still been moving in the hearts of the pastors and people to support us prayerfully and financially.

We have a full schedule the next two months. We will be in 21 churches, including six conferences, one men’s retreat, the WBF semi-annual meeting, and 15 individual appointments. Please pray for us for the following:
1. Safety
2. Good health
3. God using us in the services
4. No vehicle or trailer trouble
5. Finish filling schedule for February, March, and April 2004

As of our July statement we are currently at 60% of the $5000 monthly support needed for us to go to Spain. We have had many churches pledge and vote to join us in reaching the people of Spain and we are looking forward to adding those churches to the current support that God has already graciously given us through His people. We are feeling the urgency to get to the field and begin reaching Spaniards for Christ before they perish without Him. Our prayer is that we will be ready to leave by May 2004. Please pray for God’s timing for us. Until then, we are asking God to help us reach the lost and encourage believers here in America.
